Due to the recent complaints of my stand on the out-of-control homeless situation here in Eureka Ca., (see previous blog entries and comments) ….and the danger lurking in the wooded areas around the city of Arcata Ca., by the homeless…..I issue the following challenge.
A video message and challenge to Tom Sebourn, program director KGOE radio, and Kevin Hoover, Editor, the Arcata Eye
FOLLOW UP: All right you two…it’s on, Survivor Arcata it is. I’m sure it will resemble a scene from Tropic Thunder in the end, it can get rough in the bush. We have all heard the stories about those woods….Gaia worshippers, CHUDs, strange sightings, but in the end…..I will stand my ground.

Way to go, Tom. It’s about time somebody made these liberals put up or shut up. They won’t go anywhere near that park. They’re not crazy….Ohh wait. They’re liberals. They ARE crazy.

Tom,
Ha. I guess that depends on your definition of “molested.” We might make some special friends up there.
I’d like to note that:
1. I’m not the type of liberal who unquestioningly venerates “the homeless” no matter what they do. These folks are individuals with as much variety of character and temperament as housed folk – some nice and some wanton buttheads. Sorry, but that’s just the way it is.
2. I haven’t disputed your depiction of the crud some people leave laying around. But I stand by my correction of your casual mischaracterization of City policy. I attended the recent Transactions and Use Tax Committee meeting wherein these policies were discussed in detail, and I didn’t see you or Akela there unless you were utilizing the very latest invisibility cloak technology.
3. Further, you’re inviting us to break the law by inhabiting a City park after dark.
All that said, it could be fun, and justifiable under the aegis of journalistic arrogance. So I’m not ruling it out.

Tom, you get the camping permit and im in! We could raise some money for the food bank or people project or something.

They don’t issue camping permits for City parks. But the possibility of enforcement is nil.
I did camp out on the side of the freeway with Alfred a few years ago for a story, so it’s not like there’s no precedent.

Oh boy a camp out! We could make smores.

I don’t know if I am more worried about the Forest People of Arcata or you two. Smores, we will be lucky to survive the night. All right, details to be worked out.
Smores

Tom S.:
I say we feed Tom F. to the feral forest hobbits then take over this site and turn it into a liberal blame-America-first cesspool.
Plan?
